Supporting children to feel calm, connected and confident in everyday life

About Us

At Early Embrace, we support families during the early years of childhood when the foundations for connection, communication, and development are first being laid.

Grounded in attachment and co-regulation, our gentle, relationship-focused approach helps caregivers feel confident, connected, and supported.

Our experienced allied health team provides Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology in Geelong and surrounding areas, supporting children’s sensory, emotional, communication, feeding, sleep, play and self-care needs. We tailor our support to meet the unique needs of each family, always keeping relationships at the heart of what we do.

We provide mobile therapy in your home, childcare, or kindergarten, and welcome both NDIS participants and privately paying families.

Our Services

Our services are provided in your child's home, kinder and childcare.

Big Emotions and Behaviour

Big emotions can feel overwhelming for both children and parents. You might be noticing frequent meltdowns, long periods of crying, difficulty calming, or behaviour that feels hard to understand or manage.

We work with you to understand what your child’s behaviour is communicating and how to respond in ways that feel calm, confident and connected.

Together, we build simple, practical strategies that support your confidence as a parent and help your child feel safe, supported and more able to manage big feelings over time.

Feeding Therapy

Working with you and your child, we use a collaborative feeding approach to assist with breastfeeding positions and latch support, bottle feeding, suck training, transition to solids, tongue and lip tie assessment including pre & post-operation care and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

Our speech pathology services are currently paused. We are welcoming expressions of interest as we grow this service and explore other options with families.

Communication and Early Language Development

We target early communication development by using routines-based approaches to assist you to embed language strategies into your daily routine. We empower you to ensure that you feel confident in supporting your child’s language development.

Our speech pathology services are currently paused. We are welcoming expressions of interest as we grow this service and explore other options with families.

Sleep Support for Infant and Toddlers

Sleep can be challenging for babies, toddlers and the whole family. We support you to understand your child’s sleep and the factors that may be influencing it, then explore practical approaches that fit your child and your family.

Our holistic, responsive and individualised approach considers your child’s development, temperament, environment and family needs. Together, we build your confidence to support sleep while nurturing your child’s sense of safety, connection and security.

Play and Social Development

Play is an important way children explore their world, connect with others and develop confidence. Some children need extra support to join in play, connect with other children, or feel comfortable in social situations.

We use play-based therapy to support your child’s development in ways that are engaging, meaningful and relationship-focused. We follow your child’s interests and strengths, honour their individual ways of communicating, and gently support skills such as connection, flexibility, turn-taking and participation.

We work alongside parents, childcare and kindergarten staff to help children feel confident participating in everyday play and social experiences.

Self Care Skills and Daily Routines

We support children to build confidence and independence in everyday skills such as toileting, dressing and bathing. We consider your child’s abilities, sensory needs and developmental stage, and work alongside you to find practical strategies that make daily routines easier and more manageable.

Supporting Families in the Early Months

The early months with a new baby can bring many changes and new challenges. We support parents to understand their baby’s cues and build confidence in everyday routines such as feeding, sleep, play and settling. Our support is practical, responsive and tailored to your baby and your family.

Infant Massage

Learn how to massage your baby in your home or in a small group. Massage supports bonding, reduces stress, and can ease sleep, digestion, and postnatal anxiety. It also promotes healthy development and weight gain in preterm babies.
